Baltic SeaBreeze project
The ultimate goal of Baltic SeaBreeze was to change the attitudes and behaviour in order to reduce marine pollution. Lack of knowledge and commitment has lead to an insensitive damage of the marine eco-systems. Unnecessary oil spills from boat motor engines, noise pollution from leisure crafts and fishing boats, marine litter and poorly educated personnel in marinas/guest harbours are a few resons to the problem. A growth of fishing, boating and shipping activities in the region have economic, environmental and social consequences that concern all countries in the Baltic Sea.
Financing
The project was part-financed by EU Interreg IIIB Baltic Sea programme. Read more
